This original water color was painted by myself. The name derives from my interest in the D-day invasion in June 1944. I was listening to D-Day: June 6, 1944: The Climactic Battle of WW II, by Stephen Ambrose while I worked on the pattern.

I used Adobe Illustrator to create a pattern for this design. It took me several days to get it right.

Once Afton gets hold of a design, she likes to take it to the next level. Using several digital tools, she works her magic to create more stunning versions with the same basic flower shapes and leaf arcs. Above are two versions of the artwork and this is another.
